U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow and MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon toured the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams today, a week after the federal government approved $100 million for FRIB to continue construction. The funding was part of an omnibus spending bill.

FRIB Laboratory Director Thomas Glasmacher hosted Stabenow and Simon during their visit, giving a presentation about the project’s progress and leading a tour of the facility under construction, pointing out significant milestones along the way.

The FRIB Project is currently 10 weeks ahead of schedule on civil construction.
