In compliance with Michigan Governor Whitmer’s executive order (executive order 2020-160), the FRIB Laboratory continues to limit on-site functions. Access to the facility is limited to specially-designated employees. Limited laboratory research activities have resumed. All resumed activities are subject to stringent precautionary measures (executive order 2020-161). A significant fraction of FRIB's workforce continues teleworking. As these measures impact your interaction with FRIB personnel, your patience is appreciated during this unprecedented situation. Please contact us at inquiries@frib.msu.edu.

The National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory offers tours by appointment for interested groups. FRIB will be operational in 2022. Until that time, those interested in rare-isotope research can take a tour of NSCL, which includes information about FRIB. Full tours generally include demonstrations, an introduction to the goals and methods of nuclear science, and a walk-through of vaults where nuclei are accelerated, filtered and/or studied.

Contact the NSCL Outreach Coordinator to inquire about arranging a tour.
