Rare isotope research and education board (REB)

The rare isotope REB represents institutions that have a major interest, investment, or stake in FRIB science, and have made an institutional commitment to its support. The board provides subject matter expertise on FRIB compliance with peer-reviewed scientific priorities and for objective and inclusive selection of research experiments, consistent with the FRIB mission. The REB, which will meet semi-annually and elect its own chair, also advises on actions concerning FRIB educational outreach programs and activities.

Membership on the board is open to all U.S. institutions by signing a joint Memorandum of Understanding.
