The 4K liquid helium supply transfer line for the Vertical Test Area dewars was delivered to FRIB. The delivery establishes the connection between the cryoplant and the test area.

The transfer line will be used in the Superconducting Radio Frequency Highbay to transfer liquid helium from the 5000-liter storage dewar to the VTA dewars. Dewars are double-walled vacuum-insulated contains that hold liquids at set temperatures.

Michigan State University (MSU) operates the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) as a user facility for the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science (DOE SC), with financial support from and furthering the mission of the DOE‑SC Office of Nuclear Physics. FRIB is registered to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, and ISO 45001.
