Program Advisory Committee

The FRIB Program Advisory Committee (PAC) is a group of international experts who review non-proprietary beam-time requests submitted to FRIB. The committee reviews proposals for scientific merit, consistent with U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science policy and U.S. law. PAC makes recommendations to the FRIB Laboratory Director about beam-time allocation.

FRIB PAC meetings will occur once per year in the first two years. It is anticipated that more frequent meetings will take place in the years that follow.

Information about the first FRIB PAC (PAC1) meeting can be found on the “Solicitation of Proposals for PAC period 1 for Non-Proprietary Research” page. Proposal submission for the PAC1 meeting is currently closed. A second call for proposals is anticipated in summer 2022, with a PAC2 meeting in March 2023.
