Safety reminders

Visitor safety is a top priority for FRIB and NSCL. To ensure your safety and the safety of others as you visit during the open house, please follow these guidelines:

  • Always follow the instructions of the red-shirted event staff.
  • Do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew gum while on the tour paths.
  • Do not touch equipment.
  • Do not take photos or videos except in designated areas that will be marked.
  • Do not sit, lean, climb, or venture beyond safety barriers.
  • Stay on the designated tour paths as marked by safety barriers.
  • Tour paths are one way only, do not double-back.
  • If you become lost, pick up any facility telephone and dial “77305” for assistance.
  • Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult.
  • Keep personal belongings with you at all times.
  • If an alarm sounds, follow the instructions of red-shirted event staff.
  • Communicate any concerns to members of the event staff.
