More than 70 members from the Capital Area Information Technology and Capital Area Manufacturing Council met at FRIB to learn about business opportunities at FRIB. Thomas Glasmacher, FRIB Project Manager, gave an update on FRIB scope, cost and schedule. Jeff Manon, FRIB Project Support Organization Director, explained FRIB’s best-value procurement approach and FRIB’s desire to establish long-term relationships with qualified suppliers. Tours of the NSCL facility and the future FRIB site followed the vendor fair.
