More significant progress was made today on the linac tunnel with the first concrete placement for the tunnel lid. Ninety-five trucks delivered the 950 cubic yards of concrete. Crews started at 6 a.m. and wrapped up the placement at 3 p.m. Looking ahead, workers will start installing more structural steel for the tunnel lid on Monday. The section of lid they will focus on will take about two weeks to install.
