FRIB invites the community to a public talk on quantum computing and the entanglement frontier at the laboratory on 27 July.

The public talk features John Preskill, Richard P. Feynman Professor of Theoretical Physics at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and Director of the Institute for Quantum Information and Matter at Caltech. It will begin at 8 p.m. in Room 1300 FRIB Laboratory, 640 South Shaw Lane, on Michigan State University’s campus. Parking will be available in the Shaw Lane and Wharton Center parking ramps. This the first talk hosted by the Advanced Studies Gateway at FRIB. The Advanced Studies Gateway is an initiative at FRIB that brings together researchers, innovators, creative thinkers, artists, and performers from all fields and strengthens ties between Michigan State University and the community. Activities include research workshops as well as public talks, concerts, and special events that are free and open to the public.
