Results

A). The LISE++ code (v.16.6.23) has been used to estimate fragment transmission.
B). The rates are estimated based on the EPAX 3 [1] cross section parameterization for fragmentation and the LISE++ 3EER model[2,3] for in-flight fission.
C). Reaccelerated and stopped beam rates are more uncertain than fast beams. The use of solid catchers may yield higher rates in some cases. This option is not included.
D). PAC2 assumes 10kW (5kW for 198Pt, 208Pb, and 238U) and a limited set of primary beams. Ultimate rates assume 400 kW. Higher rates for many ions will be available as more primary beams are added.
E). Estimated rates may change as the various assumptions are tested and refined.
F). Contact the FRIB Manager for User Relations for assistance in obtaining a better estimate.
