Partnerships with national laboratories
FRIB is unique, and establishing FRIB at MSU has involved significant collaboration with others. The FRIB Laboratory has made use of specific expertise available at U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science (DOE-SC) national laboratories to review technical and civil construction designs, support technical construction activities, and to provide project scope.
These collaborations are facilitated by twenty-four strategic partnership project agreements (formerly known as work for others agreements) with seven DOE-SC national laboratories.
- Argonne National Laboratory (ANL)
- Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL)
- Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL)
- Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL)
