FRIB offers paid and unpaid opportunities for undergraduate students to do research here to build their knowledge, skills, and abilities in their field of study. 

At FRIB, undergraduate students from a wide range of interests and backgrounds come together to take part in research and exciting activities. Currently, students representing more than 20 different majors are involved in both paid or unpaid research opportunities.  It’s a place where all students can explore, learn, and grow through meaningful projects. Attending FRIB provides a strong foundation for admission into prestigious graduate programs, such as those at MIT and Caltech.

FRIB offers paid opportunities for MSU undergraduate students to enhance their knowledge and skills in science, business, and trades. With around 100 students participating each year, FRIB provides a meaningful learning experience, where students receive mentorship from experienced professionals and have opportunities to develop their abilities. Students work both independently and in teams, all within a flexible environment that supports school, work, personal growth, and social engagement.
