Project management activities reviewed

The Project Management Advisory Committee (PMAC) finished its review today at Michigan State University. The committee reviewed the status and progress of the project management activities as FRIB continues preliminary design and prepares for CD-2 in spring 2012. The PMAC found that:

  • The FRIB Project is taking appropriate actions on key recommendations.
  • The FRIB Project organization is developing very well.
  • General progress is excellent.

A review committee report with recommendations is being prepared.

Michigan State University (MSU) operates the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) as a user facility for the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science (DOE SC), with financial support from and furthering the mission of the DOE‑SC Office of Nuclear Physics. FRIB is registered to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, and ISO 45001.
