State Representative Julie Brixie and Legislative Director Nick Plescia from State Senator Rick Outman’s office visited FRIB today with MSU Associate Vice President for State Relations David Bertram.

FRIB Laboratory Director Thomas Glasmacher hosted the group, giving a presentation about the project’s progress and its significance to Michigan and the nation, and leading a tour of the facility.

Michigan State University (MSU) operates the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) as a user facility for the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science(link is external) (DOE SC), with financial support from and furthering the mission of the DOE‑SC Office of Nuclear Physics.
