White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Assistant Director Kei Koizumi visited the laboratory yesterday morning during a whirlwind tour of the research capabilities at Michigan State University. Following a short briefing on NSCL and FRIB, Koizumi was given a personal tour by Director Konrad Gelbke.

The visit prompted some excitement around the community; both WILX Lansing Channel 10 and WLNS Lansing Channel 6 covered the visit.
