The Technical Systems Advisory Committee (TSAC) held a review of FRIB via remote participation 29 September – 1 October. The main focus of the review was to assess overall FRIB Project development since the last review in April.

The committee evaluated FRIB’s progress by examining six charge questions.

TSAC answered all six questions affirmatively.

The review committee stated that the FRIB Project continues to make impressive progress and looks to be on track for early completion and to be completed within budget. The committee commended the laboratory staff and management on the manner in which they have responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. Reviewers stated the measures taken look to be receiving strong buy-in and have been effective.

The committee thanked the FRIB team for presenting a clear and comprehensive overview of the project and for providing feedback to its questions and requests. Committee members said they were appreciative that the careful planning allowed for a clear view of the status of the project.
